1. Service Scope & Provisions
EcoBreathe Services provides specialized indoor air quality monitoring and hygiene maintenance for residential and light commercial environments. Our assessments aim to provide clarity and peace of mind through detailed environmental analysis.
- IAQ Monitoring: Scientific measurement of CO₂, humidity, temperature, PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, and radon.
- Thermal Imaging: Diagnostic thermal assessments to identify condensation risk and moisture behavior.
- Ventilation Hygiene: Surface-level hygiene maintenance of extractor covers, vents, and radiators.
- Practical Guidance: Plain English advisory reports with focus on ventilation improvement and preventative measures.
Note: All reports are advisory and informational only. EcoBreathe Services does not provide UKAS laboratory testing, structural surveys, medical diagnoses, or statutory compliance certifications. Our recommendations are based on observed data at the time of monitoring.
2. User Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe and uninterrupted access to the property and all rooms requiring assessment.
- Providing truthful and accurate information regarding property history, including known leaks or maintenance issues.
- Maintaining a safe work environment for technicians, including the containment of pets and removal of obstructions in testing zones.
2. User Obligations & Responsibilities
By engaging EcoBreathe Services, you agree to fulfill the following obligations to ensure the accuracy, safety, and effectiveness of our indoor air quality assessments and hygiene services.
2.1 Access and Property Preparation
- Provide clear, safe, and unobstructed access to all scheduled monitoring areas, including ventilation points, radiators, and visible vents.
- Ensure the property remains in its typical daily operational state during the monitoring period to provide representative environmental data.
- Ensure a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) is present at the property for the duration of the technician’s visit.
- Inform the technician of any known hazards, occupant sensitivities, or structural concerns prior to the assessment.
2.2 Provision of Accurate Information
You agree to provide true and accurate details regarding the property’s history, including previous damp or moisture issues, leaks, and cleaning schedules. Our diagnostic analysis relies on this context for accurate guidance.
2.3 Interpretation and Advisory Implementation
Users are responsible for reviewing investigative reports and deciding whether to implement prevention-focused guidance. For any structural, mechanical, or electrical modifications identified as beneficial, you must engage qualified, independent tradespeople for implementation.
2.4 Equipment Care
Users must not move, unplug, or tamper with monitoring devices installed temporarily during the assessment process. Any loss or damage to equipment due to occupant interference may result in replacement charges.
3. Limitations & Disclaimers
The Indoor Air Quality assessments and advisory guidance provided by EcoBreathe Services are offered in an environmental advisory capacity only. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the scope and limitations of our professional liability.
3.1 Advisory and Non-Statutory Scope
- Information Only: Our reports do not constitute a structural survey, building regulation compliance certificate, or statutory inspection. We provide technical insights to assist in managing indoor hygiene.
- Indicative Nature: All air quality readings (including CO₂, PM2.5, and VOC levels) reflect specific conditions captured at the time of the monitoring visit. They are indicative and not for use in legal prosecution or statutory regulatory submissions.
3.2 Professional Exclusion of Warranties
- Medical Disclaimer: EcoBreathe Services does not provide medical advice or diagnoses. Our recommendations for allergen reduction and ventilation are purely environmental and should not replace professional medical consultation.
- Independence of Remediation: We do not perform structural modifications or deep duct cleaning. We remain independent; any mention of specific remedial products is for illustrative guidance and does not carry a warranty of efficacy.
3.3 Limitation of Liability
- Indirect Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, EcoBreathe Services shall not be held liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses resulting from the application of our advisory guidance.
- Financial Limit: Our total professional liability for any claim arising from a provided service is limited to the total value of the fees paid by the client for that specific service.
